Student Services

The Student Services team support and encourage the academic, professional and personal development of the student body, advocating for the rights of students, and ensuring that students are aware of their responsibilities. Student Services supports students with care, dignity and respect as they pursue their educational goals.

Careers and Community

The eBulletin is an electronic newsletter sent once per week to all GGS students, staff, and faculty. It contains information about auditions, career opportunities, community events, competitions, housing, and any other important news that may be of interest to students.

In collaboration with the Student Services Office, the GGS Student Council hosts a welcome week of orientation activities each year in the week prior to the first day of classes. Activities include a meet and greet with students and staff, facilities tour, social events and more!

Housing and Other Resources

The Glenn Gould School does not have on-campus housing or dormitory facilities. However, the surrounding neighbourhood offers a variety of housing opportunities. To download a listing of housing, health care and student resources, please click here.

Peer Tutoring

Peer Tutoring ensures student success by offering both group and individual course-specific tutoring and ESL support.

Academic Support

English support resources and academic improvement programs, including workshops, conversation groups and Peer Tutoring.

Student Advisory Council

The Glenn Gould School Student Advisory Council acts as representatives of the student body, serving as a link with the administration. It is a participating member of The Glenn Gould School Divisional Committee and The Royal Conservatory Academic Council.

Activities include:

  • Communicating the issues, wishes, challenges, and goals of each student at The Glenn Gould School
  • Providing one member for each area of instrumental study as a representative for pending student issues
  • Managing the Student Advisory Council Scholarship
  • Organizing special events for the student body such as fundraisers, parties, and social outings
  • Answering external engagement inquiries on behalf of the current students
