Loralie Vancourt
Loralie Vancourt is a member of the voice faculty at The Royal Conservatory of Music and is an advanced specialist, RCM certified teacher. She has been teaching for 20 years during which she has also taught for the University of Minnesota and the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts in addition to her private in-home studio. . Loralie has had several students go on to sing at prestigious institutions in Canada, the United States and England. Loralie is an active singer who has performed with orchestras and opera companies in Canada and the United States.
She has sung with organizations including Soundstreams Canada, Against the Grain Theatre, Opera in Concert, Toronto Operetta Theatre, The Northern Lights Music Festival, the Aradia Ensemble, the Manitoba Opera Association, Rainbow Stage and the Tony award-winning Theatre de la Jeune Lune. Loralie has nurtured her interest in music as theatre by studying acting in addition to her music degrees. Hailed as a strong singer and actress by Opera Canada, Loralie has performed with both Tony and Dora Award winning organizations. She was nominated for a Dora award as a member of the cast of Figaro’s Wedding with Against the Grain Theatre.
Loralie has a Master of Music degree from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Manitoba. At the end of the day, Loralie can be found singing lullabies to her toddler son.
